Only Sifu Yvette Greenwood, Sifu Mike Disantowong Hamilton, Sifu Chris Lukens, Sifu Nadirah Disantowong Hamilton, Sifu David Sankey, Sifu Scott Boyles, and Sifu Mark Ferrence are certified as actively teaching at IEF Martial Arts Academy with authority to rank students.

They meet the approved requirements under the Academy policy. All other black belts listed on the Kung Fu Family Page are ranked based only as completing specific curriculum, however, they have no authority to rank without a current letter of recommendation that shows the 2016 seal with Master Ian E. Sifu Greenwood is in charge of overseeing Tai Chi and Qi Gong practices. Sifu Greenwood has served as a judge at the USKSF competitions.

1st Degree Black Belt and higher rank promotions must be approved via the Black Belt Academy panel (which includes Master Ian E Fusco). Master Ian E Fusco is the only Academy Black Belt that may promote without the panel to Black Belt 1st Degree up to 5th Degree. Please Note that a 1st Degree Black Belt, with a Letter of Recommendation, can only rank up to a maximum of Brown Belt. 2nd and 3rd Degrees are also included in this policy. The Panel is needed to issue past Brown Belt. This maintains purity within our curriculum. 5th Degree Master Ranks or higher must be ranked and approved by Grand Master Benny Meng. Note that any Black Belt teaching outside the Academy is not covered by the Academy's liability insurance. They also must maintain current CPR certification. They must also follow all state laws where applicable, including licensing to teach. In addition, a Letter of Recommendation must be obtained to teach the curriculum they are instructing. This is an IEF Martial Arts Academy policy.
